Looking at Israel through a Scientific Lens

In 2005, a group of Cleveland Jewish day school teachers used Israel’s environment as a back drop to develop new science curriculum for their students that supported and corresponded to the Ohio Science Academic Standards. The curriculum they developed after a trip to Israel, uses the Understanding by Design model and includes units on earth science (originally developed for grade 6), physical science (weather - originally developed for grade 4, and energy - originally developed for grade 6) and life science (plants - originally developed for grade 4).
